I organize many special sessions on the island, but this story still brings a smile to my face every time I think about it. Everything began when they contacted me for a project that already felt full of magic. Soon after, an American couple, the kind that spreads good energy from the very first minute, traveled to Mallorca to enjoy a week of vacation. Meanwhile, he wanted to surprise his girlfriend with something unforgettable and asked me to help him prepare a romantic picnic proposal in Mallorca that would leave her speechless. Naturally, I said yes because I love working as a photographer in Mallorca and I enjoy organizing proposals.

From the very first moment we met, I noticed that they carried a special kind of excitement. She thought we were going to do only a couple’s photo session, which sounded completely normal for a trip like this. And of course it made sense, because Mallorca invites everyone to keep memories. With clear beaches, stone paths, and villages that steal your heart, the island always offers something that deserves a beautiful photograph.

So we started the photo session in a quiet spot, with honest laughter and that spontaneous touch couples show when they enjoy every minute together. I matched their rhythm right away, and they relaxed almost immediately. The plan moved forward with total ease, although he sometimes gave me nervous looks that seemed to say: the good part is coming.

When we finished the first part of the session, I suggested that we go to another spot that, as I told them, would make the most of the afternoon light. She agreed without suspecting anything. He acted casual like a champion. And while we drove toward the cliffs, I went over every detail in my mind and sent messages to my team that waited for us. The second location waited on top of some cliffs with wide views of the sea, where the sun was getting ready to offer one of those sunsets that paint the sky in gold.

Then he asked her if she wanted to marry him, and she said yes through tears, laughter, and nerves that felt like bubbles of cava. The tears, the rug, and the endless views. That calm after the yes, and even her shy gesture when she saw the ring shine for the first time.
